Scott McKinnon
Medallist & Sculptor, Artist and Graphic Designer
Scott found a love for sculpting in the mid-2000's when he participated in a community art project making medallions, led by Geert and Ellie Maas. He joined the Kelowna Sculpting Network Society the following year.

More recently, Scott returned to online education and earned a Graphic Design Technology certificate to create his art digitally and is interested in pursuing 3-D printing as a form of sculpting.

My Story

Scott McKinnon
Scott McKinnon is a sculptor, medallist and multidisciplinary artist based in British Columbia. His creative roots run deep, starting with early school art programs and growing into a professional path that spans graphic design, branding, digital marketing and now sculpture. Those design foundations show up clearly in his sculptural voice: clean lines, intentional composition and a strong sense of narrative drive the way he shapes form, texture and space.

Scott’s work ranges from intimate sculptural medallions to bone carving, bronze and marble pieces, as well as experimental mixed media. He often draws from the natural environment mythology and cultural narratives of the Okanagan, using each piece as a way to merge intuition with technique.

He is an engaged member of several sculpting communities, including the Kelowna Sculptors Network Society (KSNS), the Medallic Society of Canada (MASC) and (FIDEM), the International Art Medal Federation. These networks offer opportunities to display his works at exhibitions around the world and support his ongoing growth as he continues to explore both traditional sculptural methods and emerging tools like 3D modelling and 3D printing.

Looking forward, Scott is focused on expanding his portfolio, elevating the technical depth of his work and developing pieces that highlight the intersection between design precision and sculptural expression.
